UNICORN COLOR RUN
Hopefully you have heard about the Unicorn Rainbow Run and maybe wondering “what on earth is that?” Here’s everything you need to know + more.
Two years ago, we changed our annual fun run into a COLOR RUN to raise money for enhanced programs at our school. Without the funds raised by the PTA from this run many of our current program would not exist. The PTA currently funds our visual arts teacher, ceramics program,coding program, Tanner Dance, most field trip opportunities, enhanced science, community events as well as extensive support offered to our educators and staff. Last year we raised $60,000 and need to raise the same amount in order to keep our current programs. Here’s how it works:
Every student has an envelope with a sponsor sheet attached. Students are encouraged to ask their parents, grandparents, close neighbors, coaches, anyone they feel close to, if they would sponsor them as they run in their school’s color run, the UNICORN COLOR RUN.

Each student’s envelope has a postcard with our fundraising mission and goals as well as a QR code that can be scanned to donate. Sponsors will have the option of contributing via check made out to the UINTAH PTA, cash, or online with the QR code. *****IN ORDER TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR PRIZES THE STUDENT MUST RECORD THEIR SPONSOR AND THE DONATIONAMOUNT ON THE SPONSOR SHEET MARKING CHECK, CASH, OR ONLINE*****. Checks and cash should be placed into the envelope and turned into the student’s teacher on SEPTEMBER19th, the day before the run.
P R I Z E S
School Wide - If our student body reaches our goal of $60K, the entire school will receive an extra recess full of treats and fun surprises.
Classes – The top participating class (those with the most sponsors regardless of total dollar amount) and the top earning class (highest combined dollar amount) will both receive a class pizza party.
Individual – The 20 students with the top participation and top dollar amounts will choose from our grand prizes which include: a Razor electric scooter, Hoverboards, a mini fridge, Electric Piggy Bank, Stanley Water Bottle, Minky Couture blanket, Remote Control Car,Digital camera and more.
Unicorn Drawing – Anyone who turns in an envelope, regardless of dollar amount or number or sponsors will be entered into a drawing to win a Razor electric crazy cart.
The “color” part of the run…
All students will get T-shirts and sunglasses to run the usual route of our fun run. There will be “stations of color” where volunteers toss colored chalk on the runner’s shirts. The colors used are all nontoxic, gluten free, made from corn starch and 100% washable. Please pack a towel in your students backpack if they would like to “dust off” before getting in a car to ride home. ** If for any reason you do not want your student to be involved in the color aspect of the run, please inform their teacher prior to the event, we will have a modified route available.
